Hey Surfers,

They now have a full length Hollywood movie with  somewhat of a surf sponsorship theme with the "Surfer, Dude" flick. Has anyone seen it yet?

Movie summary:

Longboarding soul-surfer Steve Addington (Matthew McConaughey) returns to Malibu for the summer to find his cool hometown vibe corrupted. New Sponsorship demands Addington to expand into Virtual Reality Video Games and Reality TV. Unwilling to participate in this new digital-reality, he chooses to spend his summer surfing his home break. But in a twist-of-fate, the waves go flat and stay flat. Out of money, his expense-accounts canceled, and betrayed by his buddies, Addington is backed into a harsh corner. He must endure the insanity that comes with no waves or give into "the Man" and his new, reality-altering machines.

Aided by his manager (Woody Harrelson), his mentor (Scott Glenn), his guardian-angel (Willie Nelson) and his summer lover (Alexie Gilmore), Addington has a chance of keeping his cool, but it's not going to be easy. The Dude needs a wave, and there's never been a drought like this.

I learned of a great surfing blog a while back when the editor of the site asked if I'd send him a review copy of the "Sponsor Me Surfing" project that teaches young surfers and their parents the secrets for getting surfing sponsorships.

Hello Surfers,

Well here it is August 18, 2008. So it's only taken me 6 months to complete this project on how to find and get surfing sponsors.

This project just got out of hand. It consists of 3 DVDs with almost 4 hours of really good stuff. Plus I just finished writing a 50 page ebook to go along with the DVDs. I think you'll be blown away with all the information in this package.

The picture above is a mind map of what's talked about on DVD 1 and is included with the ebook on a separate CD that will ship with the 3 DVDs.

Anyway, again I must apologize for taking so long with this project as I could work on it only when my regular multimedia business was a little slow. But it's ready to ship just in time for the new school year. Oh boy!

I'm editing clips today of all the interviews I did so you can get a good feel for what's on these DVDs.
